The Luzon giant cloud rat (Phloeomys pallidus) is a large, nocturnal rodent endemic to the island of Luzon in the Philippines.
Appearance: These rats are characterized by their large size, reaching lengths of up to 75 cm (30 in) including the tail, and weighing up to 2.6 kg (5.7 lb). They have a thick, bushy tail and soft, dense fur that varies in color from light gray to dark brown.
Habitat and Distribution: They inhabit primary and secondary forests at elevations ranging from 200 to 2000 meters. Their distribution is limited to the island of Luzon.
